Soli Tech 20 Sludge Interface Sensor
Soli Tech 20 sludge interface sensor is designed for detecting and monitoring sludge layers. It is suitable for use in wastewater (sewage) and water treatment processes, and can be used in final and primary settling tanks, as well as clarifiers and humus settling tanks. The Soli Tech 20 sensor can also be used for suspended solids, sludge concentration, and turbidity applications. Please refer to the separately provided data sheet (184260DS) for details. When monitoring the sludge interface in the settling tank, it is important to ensure that the sensitivity of the instrument is sufficient to detect low-density solids (before the "continue" upper stage). This ensures that potential pollution issues are detected before they occur.
The installation of sensors is very simple and can be done using basic cable brackets or more sturdy armrest brackets (with mounting rods). Sensors must be easily accessible for cleaning and calibration. Sensors have a large optical surface and sample volume, ensuring that they can provide reliable and representative process solid information. The deposition of grease on the sensing area does not prevent the sensor from measuring, unlike sensors with smaller optical surfaces.
The Soli Tech 20 sensor adopts the infrared attenuation principle, which is very suitable for detecting sludge in the interface area. This is generally much thinner than the sludge at the bottom of the settling tank.
When selecting sensors, they should be suitable for the desired application, taking into account the density of the sludge and the clarity of the supernatant. Overly sensitive sensors can emit false alarms. Sensors with insufficient sensitivity may miss floating solids, leading to pollution accidents.
Generally speaking,0-1500The range sensor is suitable for the thin layer of sludge at the clearer end of the process, while0-10000The range sensor should be installed in locations with thick sludge and severe water pollution.
